Winter Garden, Florida, located in southwest Orange County, is such an exciting area to be living in these days! Just last week on a sunny, breezy day I was walking down Plant Street in Winter Garden window shopping. Now, here's the place to go if you want a feel of what it was like in days gone by with all the cute shops. I get goose bumps just being downtown with all the history there is to absorb. It's here that you'll be able to purchase record albums, yes kids there are such things, candy from our childhood days, flowers, clothes and antiques to name a few. Plus, grab something to eat at one of the restaurants and enjoy eating it outside while relaxing and people watching. Ahhh, the good old days!
 For a great history lesson stop at Winter Garden's History Center, Heritage Museum and the Railroad Museum. They're opened for your history buff enthusiast. Don't forget to stop in and checkout the Edgewater Hotel where some of our great actors once stayed. Winter Garden is also famous for its own Garden Theater located on Plant Street which is being renovated and opening soon. You can start purchasing tickets now for the upcoming events.
In Winter Garden youll also be able to enjoy the West Orange Trail. This is one gorgeous scenic trail that will be about 30 miles long once it is completed. Right now over thousands of people utilize this trail each month for biking, skating, jogging, etc. What a way to keep in shape or just have a nice day with the family right in your own backyard!
Some of the new stores at the beautiful new outside mall, Winter Garden Village at Fowler Groves, located at the intersection of CR 535 and the 429, are already opened for shopping. Plus, more stores and restaurants will be opening in the near future. What fun it will be for future shopping and meeting neighbors & friends at the new restaurants! Just think of all employment opportunities being offered at the mall too.
